The annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has arrived once again to King St. West.
Toronto International Film Festival, otherwise known as TIFF is now celebrating their 50th anniversary from when it first started. The film festival first established in 1976 by Henk Van Der Kolk, Dusty Cohl, and Bill Marshall, all Canadian film producers.
TIFF has definitely come a long way since its beginning. It was just 10 years ago that the TIFF Street Festival first took place. The festival takes place from King St. West and University Ave. to Peter Street. Because of the street festival some roads have closed.
Film screenings for both movies and documentaries are happening across downtown. Scotiabank Theater, the TIFF Lightbox, and the Royal Alexandra Theater are among the few buildings to hold screenings.
Not only will you see celebrities on the screens you may even spot them and run into them in person. Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Ryan Reynolds, Matthew McConaughey, and Charli XCX are some of the celebs who are at TIFF, and have been spotted on the streets of Toronto.
And, if you get hungry, you could always make a stop at the food trucks that have popped up. Or even make a visit at one of the many restaurants on King West, like Lee Chen or Oklahoma Burgers which is currently trending.

The street festival and TIFF began on September 4. While the street festival runs until September 7, TIFF will go on until September 14, 2025
